Bertrams Gets Scary

Be afraid, very afraid – the full line up ready to scare you!

Forget Fright Night! Bertrams showed daytime can be just as scary when they held a themed fancy dress day for Hallowe’en – yikes! Frances Plant has the details…

” We were fundraising for Sara Barkham, a long serving employee at Bertrams. Her partner had a kidney transplant recently – at the Renal Unit at Addenbrookes Hospital. The Unit have really supported him and the family prior to the operation.  The recent transplant has gone well.  Prior to that he was on dialysis.

Loads of the library services operations team got involved and the effort that everyone made was very impressive.  It was a very scary floor for the day!  We also had a few people from Customer Services join in as well!!

HR judged a competition for best dressed and chose three lots of winners (they couldn’t decide on a 1st, 2nd and 3rd, so all were equal winners!)

The amount raised was £235.58 and a good time was had by all!

Darren Turner will be presenting a cheque to Sarah Barkham for the unit – a photo should follow.”
