Introducing Neo and Owain

On Tuesday, Instore‘s Debbie Ferreira-Morgan introduced us to the project she’s been involved with, helping a local family to raise the further £4,000 needed to ensure their son Owain has the help of a support dog.

The pictured very cute Neo has already been with the family for around two weeks, and the fundraising continues, as Debbie explains…

“On Sunday 19th October  we held a fun day at the local park with sponsored dog walks around the park, a dog obstacle course, best dressed dog, cake sale etc. to raise some more much needed money.

At this event we raised £670 towards the 10 week old pup who was delivered last week.”

They have raised  £2,670 so far – more than a third of the dog – which matches the £2,000 raised already by Owain’s family. Further fundraising is in the pipeline…

“Jackie Jamieson (my line manager) has kindly donated a pair of Michael’s signed shorts so we will frame these and sell them.”

Whilst Debbie’s efforts are supporting Owain’s individual needs, you may be interested to know that his dog was found via Service Dogs Europe,  a charity which provides assistance dogs for autism, diabetes, dementia and a number of other conditions.
