Nikki Taylor, Sharlene Draper and their colleagues have joined Stoptober. This is an NHS initiative designed to help people to stop smoking, but lots of people in the UK (and worldwide) are using it to give up something for October which will benefit their health.
The charity set to gain from CRS’s efforts is Swindon & North Wiltshire Deaf Children’s Society, which is used by Sharlene’s daughter and is proving to be of great benefit to her.
Nikki Taylor explains further…
“Team members are giving up various items for Stoptober from fast food to chocolate, from cake to smoking.
We are showing signs of struggle but are remaining strong.
Sharlene who has given up all sugary foods including sweets, chocolate, cakes AND biscuits says ‘It has been a struggle, especially since team members insist on indulging on all things sweet in front of me!’
Natalie who has given up chocolate says ‘I am dreaming about Double Deckers!!’
CRS members will be roaming the office over the next couple of weeks in order to gain more sponsors, so please donate your change!”
The team’s more than two-thirds of the way through their ordeal, so there’s not much longer to go now. They’ve raised £130 so far and would love your support to help them get through the final few days!
