Borehamwood’s First

Lots of yummy cakes for the Macmillan Coffee MorningBorehamwood have the honour of being the first this year with their report on their Macmillan Coffee Morning held last week. It wasn’t just about the cake, as Kelly Carey explains…

Borehamwood Group held a cake sale (50p a cake) for Macmillan and raised a total of £30.

We also did a Spot the Double Shot of Coffee* and Jim Sinden House Manager,  Borehamwood Group won £20 and £20 went to Macmillan.

We also did a Guess how many hundreds & thousands* were on the cake. The answer was 4,856 and the winners were Kelly Carey and Lily Layton, who guessed 5,000. They split £41 and £41 went to Macmillan.

Altogether so far we’ve raised £91.

Great stuff and a superb lineup of scrummy cakes, thanks Kelly! Are there any more Coffee Morning reports and pictures out there for us to drool over?

* Both of these were fun activities provided by Macmillan in their Coffee Morning pack 🙂
