Sam Lucas has been in touch to tell us how her Moonwalk training’s going…
“So far my training walks have been up to 18 miles.. I’m planning on getting at least a 20 mile training walk in before the big day, with the hope that the atmosphere on the night will carry me the remaining 6.2 miles! In between training walks I am attempting to improve my overall fitness levels through regular swimming and cycling and I’m regularly swimming 1 mile and cycling between 15 and 25 miles at a time.
It is now 2 months to go until the big day, training has stepped up a gear and I would like to ask again for anyone who is interested in sponsoring me to please click on the link to go to my fundraising page.
I would really like to reach my fundraising target of £500 before May so would ask very nicely for you all to please spare 2 minutes to donate a small amount.
WalktheWalk specialises in raising vital funds for both breast cancer research and treatment provision and the money raised through previous MoonWalks has funded specialist research and equipment throughout the UK.
Thank you in advance for any donations, they are very much appreciated.”
Editors note: Sam has had fabulous support from her colleagues and friends so far and has raised £375. Think of the final £125 she needs as giving Sam wings to get her over that last 6.2 miles!
