TrekFest 2014: Participant News

Logo of TrekFest 2014We’ve had lots of enquiries about TrekFest participation!

Chloe Richards, New Business Strategy Project Executive at Rowan House is our first fully confirmed sign-up and I also hear rumours that Wordery are putting a team together 🙂

Chloe has chosen the 27 miles in 12 hours option for her TrekFest challenge. But that’s not all! Just a few weeks later, she is also tackling the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge: a little matter of Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan (again!) in a mere 10 hours.

As Chloe says on her Just Giving Page: “Imagine the blisters!”. She’s raising funds for the Hospice of the Valleys – a rather neat local tie-in with both TrekFest’s location and where Chloe lives. As she explains:

Hospice of the Valleys is the Blaenau Gwent Hospice, caring for over 500 patients every year.

The charity is a real pillar of my community offering free support and care to those who need it most. It costs over £1 million a year for them to deliver this amazing service and only 1/3 of this is provided by government. I have raised money for the charity previously and I know what the money can do and how much it means.”

Are you up for the TrekFest 2014 challenge as well as Chloe? Here’s the registration form and our Flagship Fundraiser Page for more information. Laura Morris is standing by for your registration 🙂
