Mark’s Keeping a Running Total

2014 has hardly started and already news of your endeavours are coming in!

Mark Tuttle, Replenishment Supervisor at Bertrams has set himself quite a goal this year. Says Mark:

“I’ve given myself a challenge to run a 1000 kilometres in the year; basically 20 kilometres a week.

I’m running in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. All my runs will be recorded and I’ll update my page on this link below.

The link also gives you a chance to sponsor me, so please do if you can.

Thanks for the support.”

Mark has already started his running – and he’s completed 3 runs and 21 kilometres in his first week (8km – 1st Jan, 8km – 3rd Jan and 5km on the 5th).

His main running schedule will be every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with a minimum total of 20km but generally further.

Mark is using the Nike GPS running app to record distances and times, so that every single metre and second gets recorded. Note he’s not counting any distance over 20 kilometres run in a week, so there’s no chance he’ll be completing his challenge ahead of schedule.

We’ll be bringing you news of Mark’s progress both here in Community Link-Up and in Dispatches 🙂
