Calling All Runners

Are you a keen runner? Fed up you’re not taking part in the London Marathon this weekend? Then we may have just what you’re looking for…

Hayley Gill – Muscular Dystrophy’s Volunteer and Events Manager has been in touch to say they have places available in their team for this year’s Great North Run on 16th September. This is a very popular event which starts in the heart of the city of Newcastle and finishes on the coast at South Shields. What a contrast, especially when you consider you’ll be running across the iconic Tyne Bridge along the way!

Hayley says:

If  you would like to take part or you have any friends, family or colleagues who may be interested in taking on the challenge of the Bupa Great North Run then please let me know their details and I will get in touch with them or equally please feel free to pass on my details to them. Last year our fantastic team of runners helped to raise over £80,000 for research and care. This year you could help to make your muscles count for those affected by Muscular Dystrophy!

If you know anyone who managed to get a place through the Great North Run ballot and has not yet picked a charity to run for then why not suggest they join you and run for Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. They will also get excellent pre and post race support with a great quality t-shirt or vest. With a loud and appreciative cheer point along the way!

We do have limited places available and they are filing up fast! To join our team you will need to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £35 and commit to raise a minimum of £300 in sponsorship. If you wish to register for one of our golden bond places please complete the registration form.
